Not an official briefing. Not for navigation.
Skyslice is a planning and situational-awareness tool. It is not an approved source of aviation weather, it is not an official weather briefing, and it must not be used for navigation. Before every flight, obtain an official preflight briefing and all available information as required by 14 CFR 91.103 or your local rules.
Forecasts can be wrong
Skyslice shows computer-model forecasts (NOAA HRRR) and quantities derived from them, such as cloud layers, icing and turbulence potential, flight categories and cloud-clearance checks. Models can be wrong, out of date or incomplete, especially for low cloud, fog, marine layers, mountains and fast-changing weather. Derived icing and turbulence are estimates, not official products. Airspace is assumed to be Class E for cloud-clearance checks.
You are the pilot in command
All decisions about whether, when, where and how to fly are yours alone. Skyslice never tells you whether a flight is safe.
